In 2002 I started to research my family tree with my mum and dad.  We have gone back quite a few generations.  We started to do the research on the 9th August 2002, where we went to various place to get records of births, deaths and marriage certificates.  We later on decided to go to where my family used to live, in Sherbourne, Dorset.  We went for a weekend and walked down the road where my family roots began.  It was an interesting experience.
